Mold in the bathroom, neglected room: We stayed here one night and it was actually too much. The room was not only neglected (e.g. plaster chipped on the corner, see photo), but there is obviously mold on the ceiling and on the silicone joint of the shower cubicle in the bathroom (see photos). The mold on the ceiling has apparently been painted over very often, the paint is peeling off, see photo. Of course we could have asked for another room. However, they knowingly gave us this obviously moldy room. I feel it is rude to offer this room to anyone, there is no reparation. We hiked the Zwei-Tälersteig, this was one of the more upscale accommodations but by far the worst in terms of the room, also in comparison to all other accommodations outside the Zwei-Täler-Land. We paid extra in cash in the restaurant instead of having it written out of the room, so that the tip got the great waitress, she was very attentive, nice and unobtrusive. It's a shame that the room forces me to give my worst rating.

Good ambience ... Restaurant: The service only seems to take care of the drinks - the empty plates were on our table for more than 10 minutes ... The food wasn't the gourmet spectacle either, although the prices can't be called low either. * Vacationers, i.e. no experience with other restaurants and their pricing Will unfortunately not be back.

Very friendly staff, nice ambience despite Corona. Unfortunately, the supposedly vegetarian food was not vegetarian. According to the menu "Potato pockets with tomato and cheese with vegetables and salad platter". Instead of tomato and cheese there was ham. When asked, it was only confirmed that it was vegetarian ... which was negated after 2 minutes. OST "it's not entirely vegetarian and you didn't say you were vegetarian" (you're just a little pregnant, right?) On the part of the staff there was neither an exchange nor a suggestion for problem solving. Then I had to be content with the bare vegetables and was very angry that I, as the injured party, was also blamed. At least I would have been happy about a small compensation in the form of a drink or something similar. We paid full price and left the restaurant very upset.

Great, for hikers and cyclists and everyone who otherwise comes by, there is fresh schnitzel in the Weckle with a drink. Tasted great and is available all day. After Corona, I'll be happy to be surprised by the delicious menu.

The food was amazing. It was really breathtaking. The food was very fresh and homemade, the service was great and the portions large. I recommend everyone to dine there.

It’s a very nice, welcoming restaurant with good service and nice food. Nothing sophisticated, typical German dishes, but tasty and served with a smile. It is one of the few places which was open for lunch in mid August so keep it in mind if you are in the area

Dinner would have been subpar, if it wasn't for the really good salad buffet. Service was professional and fast despite the hotel being fully booked. Breakfast was great with lots of choices.
